Polo Cashmere Sweaters
The polo sweater is a wardrobe essential for both men and women seeking a stylish yet casual top to wear with jeans or slacks. These sweaters have button collars and look just like a polo golf style shirt except they are usually long sleeve. Even the cheapest cashmere sweater is going to cost more than your average sheep's wool sweater. Cashmere comes from certain goats and can only be harvested in the spring by combing or shearing. Separating the fine cashmere fibers from the denser fibers is a painstaking task. The result after cleaning, treating and spinning the wool is a fabric that is flexible, light and extremely soft. Some cashmere sweaters are fuzzier than others due to longer fiber length. These are less likely to develop pilling than the short fiber sweaters.
After you've chosen your polo sweater made from cashmere you'll need to know the proper way to care for it. Cashmere should never, ever be machine washed or dried. The tag will usually say Dry Clean Only but this is expensive and unnecessary most of the time. Many experts recommend laundering cashmere garments by hand in a basin filled with lukewarm water and a squirt of gentle shampoo, then laying the sweater flat to dry. Never hang cashmere because this can ruin the shape of the sweater. A folding square like those used in department stores can help you fold your sweaters like a pro.

Of course you may also be looking for a sweater by the Ralph Lauren Polo brand name.
