Fill a basin with cool to lukewarm water and add a small amount of your preferred detergent or shampoo. Swirl it around to dissolve, then submerge the sweater for 20 minutes. Rinse thoroughly, then gently press out the excess water and lay flat to dry. If your sweater develops pills, don't despair. These tiny fuzz balls are normal and can be picked off or shaved with a plastic depilling comb.
