Turtleneck Cashmere Sweaters
One of the top buys for winter are turtleneck cashmere sweaters. There are so many different ways to wear them and they really keep you warm. A turtleneck is a sweater with a high neck, that comes almost up to the chin although the neck fabric can be folded down sometimes if you like it lower. It is a perfect choice for the cold months because it keeps your throat and neck area nice and warm. Cashmere itself is optimal for both cold and moderate weather. It is light, silky, soft and warmer than even sheep's wool.
One way to sport a turtleneck is with jeans and a cute pair of boots, heels or sneakers. Many celebrities are stepping out in boyfriend style jeans with big cuffs paired with heels or high boots. A turtleneck would be perfect for this look especially if it is fitted to the body. Since these jeans are rather loose, the snug sweater balances the figure. Leggings are big this year, and if your turtleneck is long and covers your derriere you can pull it on over a pair of black or coordinating leggings and boots.
For a dressy look, pair your turtleneck with a pencil skirt or even a knee-length skirt. While mini skirts are all the rage in universities and night clubs you should probably not wear them to work. If your turtleneck looks plain a beautiful gold or silver necklace, or a fashionable brooch or pin can dress it up in no time. You may even want to look into a turtleneck sweater dress, which can be belted for a svelte silhouette or paired over opaque tights.

When it comes to choosing a color, neutral shades are always smart choices because they coordinate with everything. Not to say you can't buy a pink, purple, black or any other color cashmere turtleneck, because you can. However it may not be quite as pristine and soft as a natural colored cashmere sweater.
